BEHIND PREMIER VIDEO PRODUCTIONS

Nearly four decades behind the camera.

Brendan Kerins established Premier Video Productions in 1987 and has spent nearly four decades filming people, stories, events and organisations across an industry that has changed almost beyond recognition.

The technology keeps changing. The importance of experience, good pictures, good sound and knowing how to work with people does not.

ESTABLISHED 1987

The cameras changed. The fundamentals didn't.

When Premier Video Productions began in 1987, professional video production was a very different world. Cameras, recording formats, editing systems and the ways audiences watch video have all changed dramatically.

Through every change, the fundamentals have remained remarkably consistent: understand the story, make people comfortable, capture good pictures and sound, and know what matters when the camera is rolling.

ALMOST FOUR DECADES OF CHANGE

Analogue to Digital

Tape to File-Based Production

Standard Definition to HD & Beyond

Traditional Production to AI-Assisted Tools

Premier has continued to evolve with the technology while keeping experienced filmmaking and personal service at the centre of the work.

THE WORK

Different productions. The same commitment.

Over the years, Premier’s work has developed across very different types of production — from weddings and corporate interviews to live streaming, Gaelic football, music programmes and aerial cinematography.

Each project is different, but the approach remains the same: understand what the client needs, work comfortably with people and deliver professional content that serves a real purpose.

01

PEOPLE

Interviews, customer stories, presenters, performers and wedding couples — helping people feel comfortable enough to be themselves on camera.

02

EVENTS

Corporate events, live services, weddings and sporting occasions where experience matters because important moments can’t simply be repeated.

03

SPORT & MUSIC

Gaelic football coverage and country music productions combining traditional camera skills with specialist production techniques.

04

NEW TECHNOLOGY

Live streaming, aerial cinematography, virtual production and AI-assisted tools — adopting new technology where it genuinely improves the finished work.

EXPERIENCE WITH PEOPLE

Good filming starts before the camera rolls.

Many people are not naturally comfortable in front of a camera. Part of the filmmaker’s job is knowing how to put people at ease, listen to what they are saying and create an environment where they can speak naturally.

Whether filming a corporate interview, a customer story, a live event or an important family occasion, Brendan brings a calm and experienced approach to the production.

THE NEXT CHAPTER

Experience. Storytelling. Technology.

Premier continues to evolve. Today’s production tools make it possible to work faster, create content in more formats and explore creative possibilities that simply didn’t exist when the business began in 1987.

AI-assisted production, virtual environments, modern editing tools, live streaming and aerial cinematography are all part of that next chapter — used where they make the production better, while real people, strong stories and experienced creative judgement remain at the centre.
